Professor Harding's research focuses primarily on property related issues, in particular the social and cultural significance of property and the protection of cultural resources. Her work tends to be both comparative and interdisciplinary. Professor Harding also writes in the area of comparative constitutional law and has presented her work in this area at a series of international conferences. She was a Research Fellow at the Research School of Social Sciences at the Australian National University in 2002–03 and was a Norman and Edna Freehling Fellow at �糵����-Kent from 2003 to 2005.

Professor Harding has been on the �糵����-Kent faculty since 1995. She teaches a range of classes, including property, cultural heritage law, comparative law, and comparative constitutional law. In addition, she taught a legal theory class for many years. From 2008 to 2014, she was the Associate Dean for Faculty Research and Development. Professor Harding has a B.A. from McGill University and holds law degrees from Dalhousie, Oxford (Rhodes Scholar) and Yale.
