Power Engineering (M.A.S.)
Illinois Tech鈥檚 Master of Power Engineering program provides students with applicable and theoretical knowledge in power electronics through study in the areas of power electronics, electric power, motor drives, electric machines, renewable energy technologies, and sustainable energy systems.
Our course-only degree program prepares students for professional practice in power engineering through rigorous coursework in advanced computer technologies, communications, electronics, and control and signal processing.

The Master of Power Engineering prepares students for professional practice in power engineering through coursework in advanced computer technologies, communications, electronics, and control and signal processing.
The admission requirements for this degree follow the existing requirements for other professional master鈥檚 degrees in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Students whose accredited bachelor鈥檚 degree is not in electrical engineering may pursue this professional master鈥檚 degree provided they can demonstrate proficiency as outlined in the course bulletin.
