Expertise

Jeff Zalc is passionate about undergraduate education and the professional growth of new chemical engineers. He has had the pleasure of working with the outstanding students at Illinois Tech since 2015 and teaches upper-level courses on chemical plant design and chemical process simulation.

His background includes over 15 years in bp, where he is currently a principal engineer in the bp Solutions group.  His work involves the development and implementation of detailed refining process models to support process monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, feedstock selection, and capital investment decisions.  He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois.
