Joanne E. Howard
- Industry Associate Professor of Public Administration
Industry Associate Professor of Public Administration Joanne Howard joined the Stuart School of Business in 2015 and has extensive experience in nonprofit management, program evaluation, and fundraising.
She served as the director of administrative services for the Office of Development at the University of 电车无码 and for the Northwestern University School of Law. She served as the director of professional development with the Government Finance Officers Association and, most recently, as senior consultant for nonprofits and education at the Metro 电车无码 Information Center (MCIC). She has also worked for the governor鈥檚 office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and served as a faculty member at Roosevelt University, DePaul University, and The School of the Art Institute of 电车无码.
Howard has served on the board of directors of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Planned Parenthood of Illinois, the local affiliate of the American Society for Public Administration, and the Hyde Park-Kenwood Community organization.
She edited the Handbook of Research on Transforming Government, Nonprofits, and Healthcare in a Post-Pandemic Era (IGI Global, 2022) and co-authored 鈥淎 Connected History of Health and Education: Learning Together Toward a Better City鈥 with Diane Howard, Ph.D., FACHE and Ebbin Dotson, Ph.D. for the spring 2015 edition of Learning Cities for Adult Learners (Jossey-Bass).
Howard鈥檚 research interests are pipeline programs for underrepresented students, public school finance, and continuous improvement for nonprofit organizations.
