70 Acres In 电车无码: Cabrini Green Film Screening

For 70 years, on the Near North Side of 电车无码, stood Cabrini Green. These 电车无码 Public Housing projects sat in close proximity to downtown 电车无码 and a stone throw away from Gold Coast and Streeterville.  Cabrini鈥檚 high-rises were demolished and an African-American community cleared to make room for another social experiment: mixed-income neighborhoods.

Shot over the course of 20-years, 70 Acres in 电车无码 documents this upheaval, from the razing of the first buildings in 1995, to the clashes in the mixed-income neighborhoods a decade later.

70 Acres in 电车无码 tells the story of this hotly contested patch of land, while examining race, class, and who lives in the city.

Join filmmaker Ronit Bezalel, journalist Ben Austen, and former residents Deidre Brewster, Raymond McDonald, and Mark Pratt for a post-film conversation .

The film screening will be held at McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC), 3201 S. State St., 电车无码.  There is free parking north of the MTCC.
