Isabel Mendoza is the assigned graduate assistant for the leadership programs which encompasses the M. A. and Lila Self Leadership Academy, Greer, and Camras Scholars. She assists in the development and implementation of events for each scholar group. Additionally, she also serves as a liaison between the scholar groups and Illinois Tech leadership.
Mendoza completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from Beloit College. While at Beloit College, she was a member of the cross country team, track and field team, residential assistant, McNair Scholar, Student Athlete Advisory Committee, Kappa Delta Sorority, and served as a teaching assistant for the psychology department.

The M. A. and Lila Self Leadership Academy presents a talk on 鈥淟eading in Diverse Environments.鈥 This event will take place on Saturday, November 18, from 10 a.m.鈥揘oon in The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) Ballroom. This event is open to the public.
What makes people feel included at work or in teams? Why is inclusion important? Inclusive leadership is an emerging area of study for the ever-changing workplace landscape. Understanding how to navigate environments where there is diversity is fundamental to achieving organizational goals. During this seminar, participants will learn in greater detail what inclusive leadership is, develop their skills, and navigate real-life scenarios where inclusive leadership can be executed. Join us for this seminar to gain confidence in being an inclusive leader and using these skills in day-to-day life.
