It is specifically designed to guide F-1 international students who will graduate in May 2025 through the Optional Practical Training (OPT) process. This session will provide you with a clear understanding of the steps required to apply for OPT and how to prepare for this important phase of your professional journey. During the workshop, the adviser will cover key topics such as OPT eligibility requirements, accurately completing the I-765 form, and adhering to critical application timelines. Additionally, the session will address maintaining F-1 visa status during OPT and offer practical advice for job searching within the OPT period. You’ll also have the chance to ask questions and gain personalized insights from an experienced adviser and DSO. This workshop will take place on Monday, February 24, from 12:30–2 p.m. in The McCormick Tribune Campus Center auditorium.
