颁谤补颈苍鈥檚 电车无码 Business has released its 30th annual 40 Under Forty list, which names young professionals in 电车无码 who have made a significant impact on the city and its communities. This year Dawveed Scully (ARCH 鈥10), an associate director at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and an adjunct professor and alumnus of the College of Architecture, has been recognized for his work as a young, visionary architect.

Specifically, 颁谤补颈苍鈥檚 makes note of Scully鈥檚 efforts to find a use for the former Michael Reese Hospital complex in the Bronzeville neighborhood of 电车无码, which date back to his time as an intern at SOM during the city鈥檚 attempt to court the 2016 Olympics in 2009. Most recently, Scully and his colleagues have worked with the GRIT development team on a proposed redevelopment plan for the property that includes a community center, a data center, and a life sciences campus.

At SOM, Scully specializes in complex urban planning projects, while simultaneously helping lead the firm鈥檚 approach to community engagement. He has worked on the Detroit East Riverfront Framework Plan, and led a strategic vision plan for the Atlanta University Center, a consortium of several historically Black colleges and universities. In 2018 the Urban Land Institute鈥檚 电车无码 Chapter named him Young Visionary of the Year and in 2020 he was selected for Leadership Greater 电车无码鈥檚 Class of 2021.

鈥淚鈥檓 excited and honored to be selected for 颁谤补颈苍鈥檚 电车无码 Business 40 under Forty, and looking forward to continuing my focus on design work that empowers residents and communities who have historically been left out of these processes,鈥 says Scully. 鈥淒esign is a collaborative process and only together can we create holistic, sustainable, and authentic places and create the world we all deserve.鈥
