Jiang is a former doctoral student whose dissertation Balasubramanian co-chaired at Southern Illinois University.

Balasubramanian also co-authored 鈥淐apital Structure and Monitoring Bank Failure,鈥 forthcoming in the with Seungho Baek (Ph.D. 鈥13) and Kwan Young Lee. This publication marks Balasubramanian鈥檚 first time co-authoring a publication in a journal focused on accounting and finance topics.
