Illinois Institute of Technology has named Angela Manning-Hardimon as its vice president for finance, chief financial officer, and treasurer. She will join the university on July 11, 2022.

A deeply respected and experienced financial manager, Manning-Hardimon has spent nearly 20 years as a chief financial officer and more than 30 years in finance.

“With her extensive experience in financial management and her record of strategic innovation, Angela will be a key leader in Illinois Tech’s continued growth and service to our students and community,” Illinois Tech President Raj Echambadi says.

Since 2015 Manning-Hardimon has served as the deputy executive director and chief financial officer of the (CMAP), providing executive leadership and management oversight for business operations at the agency. At CMAP, she oversaw the agency’s operating budget in addition to significant federal and state metropolitan planning transportation funding for the region’s transit agencies and for seven counties and 284 municipalities across Northeastern Illinois. 

Prior to CMAP, Manning-Hardimon was the managing deputy commissioner and chief financial officer for O’Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport for 11 years, providing fiscal oversight for what would become a $1.2 billion operating budget and a $7.2 billion capital budget. In this role, she oversaw information technology, human resources, labor relations, customer service, contracts administration, finance, capital finance, concessions, real estate, and warehouse operations. She began her career managing portfolios of more than $1 billion at Northern Trust Company.

Manning-Hardimon holds a master’s degree in project management from Keller Graduate School of Management, a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Illinois �糵����, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from �糵���� State University.
