Reminder: Degree Conferral must be completed in order to attend Spring 2014 Commencement

Date

In order to attend the IIT Commencement ceremony, each graduating student must complete two steps:

Step One: All students (Undergraduate, Graduate and Ph.D.) must apply for Degree Conferral. To access the application, search for Student Records in the Illinois Tech Portal (see detailed instructions). Once students have completed this step, please wait 1 week before proceeding with Step Two.

The deadline for spring 2014 graduates is Monday, February 3, 2014.

Step Two: In addition to the Degree Conferral step, all students who are eligible to participate in the 2013–14 IIT Commencement ceremony must register to attend. This includes fall 2013, spring 2014 and summer 2014 graduates. Even if you do not intend to walk in the ceremony, you must still complete a Commencement Registration RSVP form.

RSVP registration is open now and closes on Monday, February 17.

The RSVP form can be found on the commencement website. If you do not fill out the RSVP form by February 17, you will be put on a waiting list regarding the number of guest tickets you may receive. Even if you are not sure you and your family can attend the ceremony please fill out the form and mark YES you want to attend. You can always go back and change your decision at a later date.

The RSVP form will remain open after Monday, February 17. However, any student filling out the RSVP form after this date will be put on a waiting list for guest tickets and will be contacted by their Academic Unit Planner (www.iit.edu/commencement) with further details. All graduating students are welcome to attend the ceremony.
