U.S. Manufacturing Renaissance Speakers Captivate INTM Students at Conference

More than a dozen INTM students, accompanied by INTM鈥檚 Program Director, Mazin Safar, travelled to Oakbrook on Thursday March 14 to hear about the U.S. Manufacturing Renaissance at the 30th Annual Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) 电车无码 Roundtable Spring Seminar. The event was packed with speakers from large and small companies in industries that included transportation, oil and gas, financial management and forecasting, automation, information and data management, and technology.

Students attended seminars on topics such as 鈥淯.S. Trade Surplus鈥, 鈥淗omecoming for U.S. Manufacturing鈥, 鈥淭echnology/ Innovation鈥, 鈥淪upply Chain/Risk: Resiliency in Network Design鈥, 鈥淭he Dynamics of Site Selection: How global and domestic trends are altering the location decisions of manufacturers鈥, and more. There was also a session on 鈥淲orkforce Development: Education and Training for the Future of Manufacturing鈥 that focused on the skills needed for a manufacturing career. Professor Safar commented that 鈥渢his was a great day for learning, networking, and making valuable connections鈥 that will enhance the educational experience for students in the INTM program鈥.
