What can I expect at Techpalooza?
Join us for a day of celebration and exploration at Techpalooza on March 14 or April 18, your official welcome to the Illinois Tech community! Admitted students will experience our school spirit at the Campus Life Carnival, enjoy dinner, and have a chance to make new friends. You’ll also connect with future roommates at the Residence Life Mixer and discover essential information about career services, financial aid, and student life. Explore academic and career opportunities at Illinois Tech and beyond and even stay overnight on campus with a current student to get a true taste of campus life. Plus, we haven’t forgotten the parents—there’s programming just for them! Techpalooza is your chance to begin your journey at Illinois Tech!

2025 Techpalooza Preview
Warm-Up (1–2 p.m.)
Arrive early and start your day like a VIP! Join us for lunch in The Commons, our dining hall, followed by a campus tour.
Pre-Show (2–5 p.m.)
Then, kick off the pre-show by discovering career services, exploring financial aid, and connecting with academic departments across campus.
Headliner (5–7 p.m.)
It’s time for our headlining act! Join us for the Campus Life Carnival, where you’ll meet current students, play games, and win big—all in celebration of YOU, the newest members of our Illinois Tech community! Enjoy dinner while you dive into the fun and excitement!
After Show (7–8:30 p.m.)
After a day of learning and celebration, unwind and connect with new friends at our mixer. Parents and supporters, join us for a special celebration in your honor, recognizing the important role you play in supporting your students.

What accommodation is available for in-state and out-of-state students?
- On-campus accommodation is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Staying overnight on-campus is a great first-hand way to see what it is like to be a student at Illinois Tech! You will be paired with a current student host and will stay with them in their dorm in one of our Residence Halls.
Staying overnight on-campus? Join us Saturday morning for a Techpalooza farewell breakfast in our dining hall, The Commons.
Off-campus accommodation is available to all in-state and out-of-state students. We provide rooms at the Hampton Inn µç³µÎÞÂë McCormick Place at a special rate of $99/per night on a first-come, first-serve basis. to reserve your hotel room for March 14, 2024.
