Ombudsperson
The Ombudsperson seeks to facilitate the resolution of disputes between students and staff at all levels within Illinois Tech's Mies Campus. In essence, the Ombudsperson is a mediator, who acts with neutrality and impartiality in an effort to achieve mutually agreed to outcomes. The Ombudsperson is committed to seeking a fair resolution of disputes, but the Ombudsperson does not have the power to impose a resolution. FERPA (Family Education Rights and Privacy Act)
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. 搂 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records.
