Alpha Psi Lambda鈥擨llinois Tech Founding: 2024
The purpose of Alpha Psi Lambda is to create a community for the Latino students at Illinois Tech. As a national fraternity, and the largest and the first co-ed Latino fraternity, we pride ourselves on being an organization that fosters Familia, Culture, 电车无码, Service, and Leadership. The goal of this chapter is to bring these ideals to Illinois Tech, and create a diverse space inside of the university鈥檚 Fraternity and Sorority Life. Alpha Psi Lambda aims to serve all students no matter their background or gender. As a group Alpha Psi Lambda wants to help students build friendships and create a strong social experience in the Illinois Tech community. Our goal is to advocate for the needs and concerns of the Hispanic/Latino student body, as well as, foster positive relationships between other collegiate chapters. Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia鈥擵anderCook College of Music Founding: 1993
Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia was born on October 6, 1898, at the New England Conservatory in Boston, when a group of thirteen young men under the guidance of Ossian Everett Mills met 鈥渢o consider the social life of the young men students of that institution [and] to devise ways and means by which it might be improved.鈥 Sinfonia became a national fraternity on October 6, 1900, with the admission of a group of men at the Broad Street Conservatory in Philadelphia. For over a century, Sinfonians in nearly every field of study and professional endeavor have transformed music in America. The opportunity of becoming a Sinfonian is offered to as many men as possible who, through a love for music, can assist in the fulfillment of the Fraternity鈥檚 Object and ideals either by adopting music as a profession or by working to advance the cause of music in America. Both VanderCook College of Music and Illinois Tech students are able to join.
