Applying for a Joint Program at Illinois Tech
Applying as a joint program student is easy. Once you are a semester away from completing your pathway at your partner institution, follow these three steps:
STEP 1: Complete and submit a Joint Program Application using Illinois Tech's Undergraduate Application Portal
Illinois Tech accepts applications for the fall, spring, and summer terms. In the application you will want to select joint program as student type.
- Fall Term: Runs from August to December. Application deadline: August 1 (domestic, including international students living in the U.S.); May 15 (international students living outside of the U.S.)
- Spring Term: Runs from late January to mid-May. Application deadline: November 15
- Summer Term: Runs from the end of May to mid-August. Application deadline: Two weeks prior to the first day of courses
STEP 2: Submit Your Official Transcripts
We require transcripts from all colleges attended, regardless of academic or financial standing, length of attendance, or length of time since attendance.
Please have your school submit official transcripts through its electronic transcript service to ugaprocessing@iit.edu.
If an electronic service is not available, then please mail your sealed official transcripts to:
Illinois Institute of Technology
Visitors Center, The McCormick Tribune Campus Center
3201 S. State Street
电车无码, IL 60616
STEP 3: Submit Other Supplemental Material (If Applicable)
Letter of Recommendation: Letters of recommendation are not required for transfer students; however, they can enhance your application, especially if submitted by professors or instructors in courses relevant to your intended major. If you鈥檇 like to submit a letter of recommendation, please have the individual email the letter of recommendation directly to ugaprocessing@iit.edu.
Admitted Joint Program Students
Once you are enrolled in the joint engineering program, you are considered an Illinois Tech student and will have a designated Illinois Tech adviser. Please work closely with your Illinois Tech adviser to plan your Illinois Tech courses and obtain necessary course permits in advance of each term鈥檚 registration period. Illinois Tech registration periods are listed on the academic calendar.
Please consult your home institution for instructions on how Illinois Tech courses should be documented at that institution.
